Promiscuity: Educated Women vs. Hood Girls

Sexual promiscuity is sexual promiscuity. It’s not bad or good, negative or positive, and certainly not rated by socioeconomic class. It simply is what it is: a sexual behavior. While promiscuous sex has perks, it can definitely roll out consequences. Staying protected is essential, and remaining emotionally guarded is a must, unless you’re naturally polyamorous. Primarily, I encourage all women to be sexually empowered, whether it is with one partner or many. However, I find that there are some double standards when it comes to women of different socioeconomic statuses sexing it up.

  1. This article did pretty much only look at women going to clubs or parties. Its more obvious that girls at clubs, are going to be looking to put out more and therefor they are competing for the same fish in that pond and will most likely be more caddy.

  2. I agree with the author about females being overly critical of each other. I don't however understand the point that she is trying to make. I believe people are just judgemental. Period. There will always be someone shaking their head at a woman half-naked freaking someone in public. This goes both ways. Hood girls and educated women.

  3. I agree and disagree. Women are not the only promiscuous creatures on the planet. Men have cornered the mark on promiscuity. Many of them sleep with whomever, whenever, whereever and how often ever they can. It is a two way street, but the only path that is recognized is the female path. I am a woman and have never been promiscuos because I felt no need to be. It is about choice, not patterns.

  4. I believe that all of the points of this article are valid. I think that it is no right to openly discuss someone else's own personal affairs, "If it doesn't fit, You must Aquit". First a person must look in the mirror per se before they can account for someone else's sexual behavior. I think that as informed women of any color we should and must pratice safe sex for the benifit of life and the pursuit of living a healthy life style. We must openly commit to becoming Free to be who we are within a safe environment.

  5. I agreed to some degree, however the majority of the time, the woman that downgrades a particular woman for doing her thing is truly wanteing to live the same lifestyle.I feel that everyone has a right to handle their business the way they choose. The consequences only effect that one person. The hood girl vs educated girl when the lights go out we all look the same. So a woman's upbringing only plays a limited part in how they act.It has been know that the nice girl always love to party. So let's not be quick to judge hood girl.
